Born in March 1990 in Uelzen, grew up in Bad Bevensen on the small "Stud at the Ilmenau", a great passion for riding and successes over successes. That's how Kathleen's Vita would sound in the short version, but the peculiarity is, as so often in the sections of life ....

Kathleen's supporting pillars!
Kathleen's parents have always been among their role models and supporters. "My parents can look back on so much experience and success, they are absolute professionals as coaches and trainers and also two great people. At tournaments, they both always find the right words to motivate me in the best possible way, "says Kathleen. Together they run the training and tournament stable Keller.

At the age of 13 Kathleen won in 2003 for the first time the state championship in Hanover. 5 more national championship titles followed. The following years, she qualified the German Championships. Kathleen became German Champion in 2005 after finishing fourth in 2003 and achieving the silver medal in 2004. In 2008 she won once again a bronze medal.
At the age of 14 - and thus as the youngest rider - Kathleen was awarded the golden riding badge. In 2014 she celebrated her 160th S victory, including Grand Prix victories, which she developed with different horses.
Not least, her participation in the European Championships in 2004 was outstanding. At that time she became European Team Champion with her Oldenburg stallion Florestan and achieved a 7th place in singles. With her younger horse, the Hanoverian Wonder, she won the silver medal in the team ranking at the European Championships 2008 and again a 7th place in the individual ranking.
At first it was only Kathleen's pleasure in the other discipline, then the first successes in jumping followed. Also here: like the father's daughter - Kathleen now rides successfully in the international amateur jumping tour and was able to ride on the Hamburger Derby a respectable 4th place.

At the age of 21 she rode to victory in the German Dressage Derby and thus became the youngest derby winner in Hamburg's dressage classics of all time. 8 years earlier, her father had won the Blue Ribbon at the same place. Kathleen won the 2011 U25 Final in addition to the big derby, also with a horse change. In the U25 final she managed to win the German Dressage Derby for the 3rd time with different horses.
After Kathleen graduated from high school in 2010, she studied business psychology in Hamburg. She graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts. "I just wanted to do something else again. Business psychology is really exciting and Hamburg is an incredibly beautiful city. The derby victory made me even more emotionally connected to the city," says Kathleen. Combining competitive sport and university studies was possible for her, supported by her family.

Since completing her degree in 2014, Kathleen has devoted 100% to riding with the goal of eventually taking over the parenting business. For the daily training of the horses more tasks are added as a trainer - now also abroad.
As an instructor in young horses, Kathleen has already made a name for herself today. So she was able to qualify - already 3x in a row her horse Desperados for the final of the Nürnberger Burgpokal in Frankfurt. If it goes on with the sporting successes as before, Kathleen comes a bit closer to their dreams and goals. "Being able to gain a foothold in professional sports would be an important milestone for me. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming season and great tournaments ".
